Our commitment

Sunlight is an essential source of sustainable energy, so strong it can be harvested for vital energy and electricity across the globe. We are dedicated to transform the sun’s power into renewable energy accessible to all. For this new phase of The Solar Project, we are proud to deepen our collaboration with Milkywire and join forces with the award-winning organization Earthlife Africa, which works to build a movement for energy democracy in South Africa. Earthlife Africa’s project focuses on promoting renewable energy technology in local communities. The project also aims to increase access to information about renewable energy and its benefits to local communities in South Africa.

In March 2022, we started our second Solar Project in collaboration with Milkywire and Earthlife Africa - a nine month project located in South Africa. By the end of the year, 100 solar panels and several solar charging stations across South Africa will be installed.

The goal is to fight the issue of energy poverty with solar fueled power in remote areas to promote local businesses, with a strong focus on those led by women. Every pair of CHIMI’s will help finance Earthlife Africa working with communities towards the realization of clean, affordable electricity in South Africa.
